There are several choices when it comes to accepting payments online. If you already have a merchant account through your bank or other provider you can process orders from your place of business. If you want real time cyber processing, some providers offer code to include on your site. If your payment processing service doesn't offer that, there are many online services that do. 
Paypal is probably the most poular PPS on the internet today. You pay a 1.9% -
2.9% transaction fee + $.30 per sale. There's no set-up fee or monthly fees.
For all express purposes google checkout is identical to paypal. 1.9 - 2.9% +
$.30 trans. fee.
2.1% transaction fee and a set-up fee of $499. 
Set-up fee of $49. 5.5% commission + $0.45 per transaction.
2.04% + $.24 per transaction. $8.95 statement fee. $13.99 internet gateway fee.

Service includes registration of one domain name of your choosing. Please bear in mind that Design Solutions cannot guarantee the availability of any name. It's important to have backup names in case your first choice is already taken. Registration of additional names will result in added fees. The most common domain suffixes are: .com .net & .biz
Over ¾ of all search engine referrals come from the top 4 engines- Google, Yahoo, MSN, and AOL. Not to mention that many smaller engines derive their results from the big ones. For instance, Alta Vista, All the web, Excite, Dogpile, Hotbot, Web Crawler, and Lycos get their site listings from Yahoo, Google, and other major engines. So, having your site submitted to the biggest search engines will get you picked up by the smaller ones. Currently you can submit for free to Yahoo, but to guarantee that your site will be indexed and listed, it costs $299. If you choose the pay to list method with yahoo or any other search engine, the cost will be added on to design fee. It's important to know that search engines that charge for submissions eventually list the site anyway. Their web bots are constantly scouring the internet for new sites. There's a lot of misinformation out there from companies that try to convince you that your site must be registered with hundreds of different search engines to get hits. Don't fall for it! As well as being submitted to major search engines, your site will be submitted to the internet business directories : Yahoo local, Google places, Bing local listings, and dmoz (Please note that dmoz is particular about which sites it will accept. There is no guarantee that your site will be listed.) Design Solutions is not a hosting service, but does offer a resell arrangement starting at $8.50/month to any client who doesn't want to deal separately with a web host. For those who want to bypass the middleman and deal directly with their host, there are many quality, low cost options out there. Several things to look for in a good host :
It's also important that your host have support for PHP and mySQL if your site will have a product database or utilize a username/password system. These hosts provide all of the above. Click on the links to visit their sites.  
 
Design Solutions can do your site maintenance or updates too. Updates are based on Design Solutions' current hourly rate. If you're going to have frequent updates or changes to your site, it might be worth signing a maintenace agreement. You will be billed on a sliding scale that way.
